In Dambulla, Sri Lanka had ik prachtig oogcontact met een tot budha biddende oude vrouw, liggend op mijn ellebogen en knieen, verbrandend aan de tegelvloer kroop ik langzaam naar haar toe, terwijl zij alleen haar ritueel onderbrak om mij aan te kijken, samen hebben we erg gelachen.
